What is it about eliciting results that takes us out of the present? The whole notion of not being attached to results is a very difficult point to achieve and it’s very difficult to not be attached to results because when you’re working hard on something, you want a certain outcome. I think when you’re so focused on where you want to go, that you miss out on the present and when you’re not fully present you aren’t going to have as good as an outcome as if you were in the moment.
It is better to keep on taking water, until and unless your workout gets over an hour. You can also switch between water and sports drink during the long run.
Why is this such a hard issue? Why is it that the most important thing we can do for ourselves–eat healthy and exercise–is the one thing that we value the least? Why don’t people care workout lifestyle about their bodies more? Why do so many people just downright FAIL at fitness?
Imagine that you are holding onto some heavy weights in your hands. And now you try to raise your hands higher to flap your wings to fly. You will find that the weight is really heavy and it holds you down. Blame, complaining, anger, grudges… these are all the weights that hold you down.
Never complain about problems. They are your tools to prompt necessary changes or to discover new ideas, skills and creativity. Without challenges, you would not need to grow. Appreciate your problems, meet them head-on. Ask empowering questions about them and they will turn into your stepping-stones to a better future.
