Are you tired of getting started with a diet and exercise plan with a ton of motivation… only to lose this motivation sometime after? There have been many studies indicating that most people give up on their diets within one to two weeks after starting. The biggest reason why? A loss of motivation. This is something that happened to me very frequently… and as a result, I wound up stopping and starting diets several times! The good news is that through lots of headaches and disappointments, I realized a simple plan to help me get and STAY motivated. With this plan, I had a ton of motivation to finish my program… and I still have a ton of motivation to stay living healthy for life.
Listen to inspiring music. For you, it might be the soaring orchestration of your favorite classical piece, or even a country/western album that carries the right message of hope and joy. My late vocal teacher was fond of saying that music exists to let us know what it sounds like in Heaven, and if I have to pick one thing that’s sustained my learn new things more than any other in my life, it’s been music, without question.
Many people confuse lack of motivation with being lazy. Ultimately there is no such thing as being lazy. But there certainly can be an absence of motivation due to a lack of motive.
Break those goals down (if you need to) because having them in smaller chunks keeps you motivated constantly in by T motivation. The last thing you need is to be flipping between AF and T motivators all the time.
So remember. You won’t always be motivated to do the things that are important to you. Don’t wait for motivation to come along. Make a decision to do it anyway and start creating momentum. Soon you will find that the momentum will continue all on its own and it might even pull you along with it.
This can sometimes become a problem for traders. For example, some traders have the fear of losing money. So, they have built really strong protection mechanisms in their trading plan to safeguard themselves from losing money. Fantastic!! The only problem is that they aren’t really motivated to make money.
Do not look for reward, they will come – though rewards are always attached to labor, you look to the labor part of the job. Unselfish labor reaps the biggest rewards in regards to motivation.
Imagination is the essential ingredient. Maintain your imagination, feed it often, exercise it daily, and it will serve you well. When you do, inspiration will take its proper place and do exactly what it is designed to do – feed the fire.
