Hi there now it seems every day that goes bye there’s something else in the internet marketing field you should be using, marketing through etc and you’d certainly be forgiven for thinking “what next – I haven’t got the hours in the day”. To a degree you’d also be right because it’s very difficult weighing up where to productively spend your available time. But today all Sam & I want to do is flag yes yet another marketing opportunity that is still fairly new but growing rapidly – and if nothing else you should be aware of it, so here goes..
As marketers we treat our list as our most prized asset. Your asset is comprised of all these people who consume your content on a regular basis. Most people may have never viewed their list instagram promotion from this perspective.
Make sure your engagement ring is perfectly clean before you take the photos. Even a small amount of dirt will diminish that perfect sparkle that you are aiming for in your pictures. Take it for a professional cleaning at Diamonds International, or wipe it down first with a soft toothbrush and some ring cleaner.
Then someone mentions Facebook so you create your page. Twitter? Of course, gotta have one of those too. LinkedIn, Google +, instagram boost, YouTube. The list goes on and on. Someone talks about it, and you run out and grab an account and add it to your list of marketing tools.
How are the big players controlling the way we use social media? The big players, meaning Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+ and LinkedIn? They are all doing their best to make the user experience better while including a way for businesses to reach new customers.
Seek out public domain or royalty free stock. Sites like iStockPhoto Dreamstime and BigPhotoStock instagram have large databases of royalty-free graphics at a cost. If you are low on funds, you can check sites that specific list photos that have been released to the public domain (Wikimedia Commons may be a place to try). Be sure you read the fine print before you add text or do anything to manipulate a photograph.
You can come up with a photo series; pick a subject and have it star on your photos, like it’s a story. Have you seen the film ‘Amelie’ with the traveling gnome? Pick a toy or any item and copy it. You may also take an artistic shot and put a reflective caption.
